Local Area Info
In addition to their natural beauty, many parks share an impressive heritage, including Nonsuch Park named after Henry VIII's Tudor palace and Oaks Park, home to the Earl of Derby who named the horse race at Epsom.
Most of the parks offer some sporting or recreation facilities, from football pitches to tennis courts, crazy golf to bowling greens and teenage ball parks to children's playgrounds. They also become the backdrop to local and regional events each year.
Most parts are served by excellent bus and rail services into Central London and the City (e.g. Victoria and London Bridge).
Sutton is rich in cultural, sporting, entertainment, architectural and historic attractions, as well as excellent shopping facilities (Sutton Town Centre) and imbibing establishments, and we will be pleased to share our local knowledge and also point you towards sources of further information on request.
